    Our client with its European headquarter in Bavaria is one of the leading global automotive suppliers with a product and service portfolio ranging from the development and manufacture of parts, components, and modules through system integration for OEM. DIRECTOR IT Europe m|f - Automotive

    Leading Global Automotive Supplier

    • Being part of our client’s senior automotive management team in Europe and working on strategy that helps solve the region’s targeted opportunities and threats without adversely impacting other systems.
    • Communicating with branch management teams to establish the region’s IT strategy, goals, and priorities, and acting as the primary liaison for the unit (including budget development).
    • Leading and providing a direction and a mission to the European Automotive IT team including disciplinary responsibility and further development of the team and appropriate expertise.
    • Full responsible for IT project management and execution, including communicating requirements to other project team members.
    • Being partner to our client’s business partners and their respective team, be able to speak IT and business language.
    • Implement company standards, policy, and compliance IT rules in the several sites of our client in Europe.
    • Partner with Corporate IT and other European IT Teams.
    • Execute, implement, and maintain global IT strategies in this business unit.
    • Active participation in the global automotive business process transformation multi-year program.

    • University degree in IT or a related business experience.
    • 10 plus years in IT with progressively increasing responsibilities and with experience preferably in midsize automotive (Tier1/Tier2).
    • Good understanding of business processes along the entire value chain, customers, products, suppliers, development, and manufacturing processes to provide appropriate IT solutions which make processes reliable and cost effective.
    • International IT Leadership experience operating in a geographically and culturally diverse platform with the ability to lead on standardizing IT practices, programs, and policies.
    • Proven track record dealing with multicultural workforces.
    • Creativity in developing solutions to operational business needs of the various user groups.
    • Superior critical thinking, problem solving, and communication.
    • Ability to manage local and global team orientation.
    • Experience in building international IT organizations.
    • Fluent in English and German.
