habe eben Samba als PDC konfiguriert (dachte ich)
aber ein Login in der Domain von einer Windof Kiste ist leider nicht möglich. Jemand ne Idee?

Hast du denn auch Benutzer für Samba eingerichtet?
Kommt ein Fenster zum Anmelden, oder was erscheint?
Vielleicht stimmt ja auch die Workgroup nicht.

Oder hast du vieleicht vergessen ein Maschinenkonto für die Workstation anzulegen?
Falls ja, probier mal das:

useradd -d / -s /bin/sh ws01$

smbpasswd -a -m ws01

ws01 ist der Rechnername unter Windows

weiteres problem bei windows XP, da müssen einige registry-einträge geändert werden, damit man samba als pdc verwenden kann. das war zumnides unter samba 2.x so, keine ahnung ab das beim 3er auch noch so ist.
